Wedding Venues in Greenville, SC

I've photographed weddings at a lot of the venues on this list. Some I've shot at once. Some I've lost count of. Either way, I know these spaces the way a photographer knows them, where the light falls, how the rooms feel when they're full of people, and which spots are going to make your photos look incredible.

This isn't a paid list and nobody asked me to be here. These are just the venues I'd point a couple toward if they asked me over coffee.

I've organized them by category below so you can find what fits your vision fastest. If you have questions about any of them from a photography standpoint, just ask.

Greenville SC Wedding Venues | Wedding at Pretty Place Chapel

Fred W. Symmes Chapel at YMCA Camp Greenville sits on the edge of a mountain with nothing but open sky and Blue Ridge views in front of you. It is genuinely one of the most breathtaking ceremony spots in the entire Southeast. If you want your guests to feel something the moment they sit down, this does it without trying.

It's a bit of a drive up the mountain and the logistics take some planning, but the payoff is worth every bit of it.

wedding venues in Greenville, SC | The cliffs at glassy chapel

Perched on the edge of Glassy Mountain with the Upstate laid out below you, this chapel feels like it was built specifically to make people cry at the altar. Rustic stone and wood construction, mountain air, and a view that guests talk about for years. If you want to get married somewhere that feels genuinely different, this is it.

Greenville SC Wedding Venues | View Point at Buckhorn Creek

Fifteen minutes from downtown Greenville and it feels like a different world entirely. Thirty-five acres, unobstructed mountain views, a koi pond, a timber frame pavilion, and more greenery than you can photograph in a day. It's one of those venues that looks incredible at almost every hour of light.

Barn and Farm Venues

The Upstate does barn venues really well. These aren't generic structures dressed up with string lights. Most of them sit on serious acreage with property that gives couples room to spread out and breathe

Greenville SC Wedding Venues | Altar at the Barn at Sitton Hill Farm

Ninety-nine acres in Easley, SC, just minutes from downtown Greenville. Pastures, forests, a winding creek, and a barn that can hold up to 250 guests without feeling cramped. This one is especially good for couples who want flexibility in how they use the property throughout the day.

A post and beam venue in Taylors, just north of Greenville. The structure itself is beautiful and the property photographs well in almost any season. If you want warmth and texture in your photos without going full rustic barn, Aurora Farms threads that needle nicely.

Greenville SC Wedding Venues | Chapel at Arran Farm Events

INamed after the Scottish island where the owner's ancestors were from, Arran Farm sits on 80 acres in Easley with a pond, a waterfall, and the kind of quiet that's hard to find close to a city. It's a short drive from anywhere in Greenville and feels like a full escape.

Greenville SC Wedding Venues | Exterior image of Heyward Manor

Built by brothers on their family-owned 650-acre tree farm in Iva, SC, Heyward Manor is one of the more unique properties in the region. A white cathedral-style barn surrounded by meadows, landscaped gardens, and a natural lake. Less than an hour from Greenville and worth every minute of the drive.

Greenville SC Wedding Venues | Bride and groom in front of Huitt Farms Venue

An all-white shiplap building on beautiful farmland in Anderson, SC. Southern charm with cleaner, more modern lines than your typical barn venue. It works well for couples who want the farm feeling without the wood beams and Edison bulbs.

One of my favorite properties to photograph in the Upstate. Greenbrier has a timeless quality that works in almost any season. The grounds give couples room to spread out during portraits, and the venue itself handles the logistics well so your day can actually flow the way you planned it

Downtown Greenville Venues

Greenville's downtown has grown into one of the best small-city wedding destinations in the South. These venues put you in the middle of it.

Right in the heart of downtown, the City Club brings a level of polish and service that's hard to match in this market. The architecture is stunning and the team runs a tight operation. For couples who want a sophisticated downtown experience with real attention to detail, this is the benchmark.

Wedding Venues in Greenville SC | Bride and groom in front of Westin Poinsett hotel

A Greenville landmark. The Poinsett Ballroom holds up to 400 guests and has the kind of grand scale that makes big celebrations feel exactly right. If you're going big, this is where you go big.

Greenville SC Wedding Venues | Larkins Shirley Roe Cabaret Room

Exposed brick, natural wood ceiling beams, and big windows right in the heart of downtown. It's an intimate space that photographs beautifully and has a warmth to it that a lot of downtown venues don't. Great for couples who want downtown without the ballroom.

Wedding Venues in Greenville SC | Interior of The Rutherford Greenville

Just outside the heart of downtown, The Rutherford blends historic character with over 10,000 square feet of usable space. Original hardwood floors, an outdoor courtyard, and a private dressing suite. It's flexible enough to work for a lot of different wedding styles.

Wedding Venues in Greenville SC |Interior set up of Avenue Greenville

A rooftop venue one block from Main Street with panoramic views of the downtown skyline. Up to 200 guests seated, 400 for receptions. Designed by a nationally known architect and run in partnership with Table 301, which means the food is serious. The indoor-outdoor flow is genuinely one of the best in the city.

All-Inclusive Venues

If you want to hand off more of the details and focus on actually being present on your wedding day, these venues are worth a close look.

Wedding Venues in Greenville SC | Altar set up at The Southern Bleachery

A converted mill space with high ceilings, all-white brick, original oak floors, and the kind of industrial character that photographs in a completely unique way. Holds up to 500 guests, vendor-friendly, and has bridal and groom suites on site. It's one of the most visually interesting spaces in the Upstate.

Edinburgh West

wedding venues in Greenville SC | Edinburgh West

A 16-acre property in Taylors with a 50x60 foot English conservatory as the centerpiece. Buckingham Palace-style entrance gate, Victorian streetlights lining the drive, and an all-inclusive package with dinner, florals, and direction included. Fifteen minutes from Main Street and completely unlike anything else in the market.

Working with a local photographer has its advantages.

I've been in most of these spaces more than once. I know the light, the layout, the spots nobody thinks to use, and the moments each venue tends to produce.

If you're trying to decide between a few venues and want a photographer's honest read on how they photograph, I'm happy to talk through it. That's the kind of thing I can help with before you ever book anything.
